Live Oak Tree planted in Mark Garwood's Memory

As we approach the 1 year anniversary of Mark Garwood's passing, a live oak tree was recently planted in his memory. The tree is 25 years old and was chosen because that is the age Mark would have been this year. The name live oak comes from the fact that evergreen oaks remain green and "live" throughout winter, when other oaks are dormant and leafless. They are native to the South and live hundreds of years. Live oaks can reach 60 feet in height, with a limb spread of nearly 80 feet. Their lower limbs often sweep down towards the ground before curving up again. Mark is forever in our hearts and we will continue to uphold his memory with the work and support through the SHARE foundation.
